Pogradec police have accompanied the suspected perpetrator of the murder of a 52-year-old woman to her apartment to conduct an investigative experiment.

It is suspected that Ilirjan Selmani had an intimate relationship with the victim.

As he is escorted by blue uniforms, the suspected perpetrator smiles for a few moments and is then heard to say: 'I'm not the murderer, no.'

"What about me, I'm not the one who killed him, I don't care," he says further.

Police announcement:

Following the information provided about the fire that broke out in neighborhood no. 1, in the apartment of citizen KT, who lost her life, we would like to inform you that:

The Korça Local Police Directorate established a special investigative group, which, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has carried out a series of investigative actions, including experimental actions, to clarify and document the circumstances of the fire and to determine the cause of the loss of life of citizen KT, 52 years old.  

From the totality of the actions taken so far, it is suspected that the fire in the 52-year-old's apartment was caused by a citizen.      

Based on the evidence obtained, the operational services of the Korça DVP have escorted several citizens to the premises of the Pogradec Police Station, among them the suspected perpetrator of this incident. 

Investigative actions continue and at the end we will provide full information regarding this event.
