The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime has today left in force the security measure for the suspended head of the Public Procurement Commission, Jonaid Myzyri.
The decision was made by Judge Igerta Hysi, who rejected Myzyr's request to lift the measure of "suspension from duty" and "obligation to appear".
Thus, Myzyri remains suspended from office and obliged to regularly report to law enforcement authorities.
The case against Jonaid Myzyri is related to ongoing investigations into suspected abusive procedures in the field of public procurement, more specifically for the 2.3 million euro tender for the maintenance of the Shpal-Ura e Repsit road with a total length of 58.7 km, where according to the investigations it has resulted that after his intervention the tender was awarded to the company with the highest bid, the joint venture of economic operators "AEK Munella - Drini-1".
