The city of Vlora continues to face a lack of drinking water supply for three days, following a serious technical defect in the main transmission line.
Unable to find a solution to the situation, citizens have tonight forcibly entered the "Petro Marko" theater hall where the city municipality has organized a gala evening for the end-of-year holidays.
Despite the presence of the police, it was not possible to stop citizens from entering the hall to protest.
The people of Vlorë have occupied the stage that was prepared for the concert, preventing the performance from continuing.
Meanwhile, during the day, the director of the Vlora Waterworks, Ermal Murati, reacted to the situation, explaining that it is a serious and specific damage to the main pipeline with a diameter of 1000 mm, which has made the intervention more difficult than usual.
According to Murat, the damaged pipe is of a special type, used only in the city of Vlora, which has contributed to the extension of the repair time.
He emphasized that intensive work is currently being done not only to finally fix the defect, but also to find an alternative supply route.
