The young man who saved the life of the elderly couple

Altjon Sulejmani fell into the hands of the Fier Police after trying to burn his two parents alive.

The 42-year-old allegedly set fire to the apartment where he lived with his parents, closed the doors, so that they could not leave the apartment, and left.

It was the neighbors who immediately intervened and made it possible to get the two elderly people out, who fortunately are in good health.

Romeo Mersini, the young man who entered the flames to save the two elderly people, also spoke about this event. He said that he took out the old man once, then his wife.


Referring to what they told him, Mersini said that the 42-year-old had sprayed the gas cylinder with gasoline and then set it on fire.

"I came back from work, my uncle says to me, "O Romeo, help". I got into the fire. I went and helped them, the whole neighborhood knows. I went and took them out. I entered the fire, the state could not enter because there was too much fire. I extinguished it with buckets of water, and the neighbors helped me. I took my father out to the balcony once, then I took the lady out. I argued with the fire department. I told them "come inside", they made fun of me", said the young man.

It is suspected that the 42-year-old Altjon Sulejmani suffers from mental health problems. Meanwhile, the elderly couple are in the Fier hospital under the care of doctors.
