New details have been revealed regarding the serious event that happened yesterday evening in Fier .

The police clarified that the 42-year-old son of the elderly couple, whose apartment was engulfed in flames, tried to kill the parents, closing the door of the apartment to prevent them from leaving.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen has previously exercised violence against his parents, while he will now face the charges of " Murder due to family relations", remaining in the attempt, "Domestic violence" and "Destruction of property by fire" ".

Police notification: 

Yesterday evening, in the "15 Tetori" neighborhood, Fier, an apartment where 2 elderly people were located, was engulfed in flames.

After receiving the notification, the Police and Fire services immediately went to the scene, and were able to get the 2 elderly people out of the apartment, in good health. Firefighters have made it possible to put out the fire.

From the preliminary investigations, it was found that the son of the elderly citizens, citizen AS, 42 years old, resident of Fier, set fire to the apartment where he lived with his parents, closed the doors, so that they could not leave the apartment and left.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen has previously used violence against his parents.

The services of the Fier Police Station made it possible to capture and arrest the AS citizen, 42 years old.

The procedural materials will be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Murder due to family relations", pending attempts, "Domestic violence" and "Destruction of property by fire".
