The Durrës police announced today the arrest of 38-year-old Febjus (Dritan) Dauti, who had been wanted by the blue uniforms for 7 years.

Dauti was wanted along with three other people as part of Operation Twix, after they were caught transporting three molds of explosives. Even though in absentia, the Durrës Judicial District Court has sentenced Febjus Dauti to 4 years and 4 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense "Trafficking of explosive, incendiary and poisonous substances", carried out in cooperation.

"Police services, supported by information intelligence, on the locations of a wanted citizen, located and detained Febjus (Dritan) Dauti, 38 years old, a resident of Durrës, after the Durrës Judicial District Court sentenced him to 4 years and 4 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense "Trafficking of explosive, incendiary and poisonous substances", carried out in cooperation. On 17.01.2015, the 38-year-old man, together with 3 other citizens, was found to be transporting 3 molds of explosives. As a result of the police work to bring the perpetrators of this event to justice, the Durrës Police services arrested, on October 18, 2022, the citizen Bledar Plaku, one of the associates of the citizen Febjus (Dritan) Dauti, imprisoned the day today",  informs the Durrës Police.

Action in 2015:

4 people were arrested in the city of Durrës who were caught with 3 C4 explosives with mobile phones. Their handcuffing was done within the coded operation "Twix" of the Traffic and Narcotics sector in the Durrës Police Directorate in cooperation with the Prosecution for Serious Crimes, after a 2-month work. In addition to Dauti, the following were arrested: 

30-year-old Dashnor Dumani, born in Dibër and resident in Durrës
, 24-year-old Asllan Plaku, born and resident in Durrës
, 31-year-old Bledar Plaku, born and resident in Durrës

At that time, Dritan (Febjus) Dauti had guaranteed another person, that he and 3-4 of his friends can place custom explosives in vehicles, police stations, high voltage poles or anywhere else. Their only request was correct payment, but Dauti did not know that the person he was talking to was an undercover police agent.

“Nga ana e Policisë Gjyqësore është bërë i mundur regjistrimi i një bisede ndërmjet një agjenti të infiltruar dhe shtetasit Febjus Dauti, ku ky i fundit thotë se ai bashkë me 3-4 shokë të tij mund të vendosin eksplozive me porosi në vende të ndryshme si makina, në komisariatin e policisë, shtylla të tensionit të lartë apo kudo, që të bëhen porosi kundrejt shpërblimit me para. Ky shtetas thekson vetëm që pjesa e shpërblimit me para të jetë korrekte dhe në kohë, pasi kur e ka bërë edhe herë të tjera këtë punë, persona që e kanë porositur i kanë mbetur borxh një shumë prej 16 mijë eurosh,”- thuhej në dosjen e prokurorisë.

Sipas organit të akuzës, ai i kishte thënë agjentit të infiltruar: Mjafton të thotë se ku e dëshiron që të vendoset lënda eksplozive dhe ai do t’i thotë çmimin dhe më pas e vendos atë. Gjithashtu mund ta vendos lëndën shpërthyese edhe duke e telekomanduar nga distanca. Në momentin e arrestimit, mendohet se të rinjtë po shkonin në një aksion, ndërsa po ashtu, akuzoheshin se kishin me shpërthimin e mjetit të Ardian Trotës, i njohur dhe si “i forti i Kukësit”.

Dauti duket se kishte miqësi me vëllanë e vrasësit me pagesë, tani të penduarit të drejtësisë, Nuredin Dumani, Dashnorin.
