After the death of 48-year-old Shpresa Cani in the premises of the municipality of Lushnje, the latter reacted in a statement to the media.

According to this communique, it is said that there was no argument between the 48-year-old woman and the employees of the municipality, while they state that after she was received in the mayor's office, an agreement was reached to offer her help, but suddenly she felt bad and then lost his life.

STATEMENT FOR THE MEDIA, LUSHNJE MUNICIPALITY!

The Municipality of Lushnja, through the Mayor Eriselda Sefa, based on the unverified and abusive information distributed in the media regarding the death of citizen Shpresa Cani, 48 years old, resident of Çanakaj of the Fiershegan Unit, wants to clarify the public opinion, expressing First, my sincerest condolences to the Cani family.
Regarding the event, let us clarify that on Wednesday around 11:00 a.m., the citizen Shpresa Cani appeared at the Information Office and requested a meeting with the Mayor Eriselda Sefa.

A few minutes later, the Mayor received the interested party in the office, who was included since 2007 in the PWD category as fully disabled by KMCAP with a diagnosis of hemozygous sickle cell disease (blood disease), with a monthly payment of ALL 11,915.
Citizen Shpresa Cani stated that she lived alone with her father and asked the Municipality that, in addition to treatment with KEMP from KMCAP, an opportunity for additional assistance for her and her father from this institution should be found.

After listening to Mrs. Cani's concern, Mayor Sefa called the Director of Social Services at the Lushnje municipality to see the possibility of additional help from the municipal budget, in addition to the disability payment.
There was an agreement that in January the opportunity to include it in the aid schemes from the municipal budget would be seen, but at some point Mrs. Cani felt bad.

The ambulance and the head of the Lushnja police station, Mr. Edvin Ndreu, were immediately notified.
The ambulance arrived within a few minutes at the premises of the Municipality, transporting the patient to the Hospital, and a few minutes later the effectives of the Lushnjë police station also arrived.

The Municipality of Lushnja, through the Mayor, refutes and expresses regret for the abusive information distributed in the media regarding the dynamics of the event.

Në ambjentet e bashkisë Lushnje dhe aq më pak në zyrën e kryebashkiakes, nuk ka pasur asnjë debat mes Zonjës Cani dhe përfaqësuesve të Bashkisë, përkundrazi pati gatishmëri për të dhënë ndihmë shtesë për të interesuaren.
Sqarojmë gjithashtu që Zonja Cani është trajtuar me ndihma emergjente sipas programeve të miratuara nga Këshilli Bashkiak.
Sjellim në vëmendje të mediave dhe të opinionit publik se e ndjera Shpresa Cani nuk ka qënë e trajtuar me ndihme ekonomike (sikurse publikuan disa media) pasi ajo trajtohej me pension invaliditeti!
