Everyone is interested in knowing how the transparency board calculates the final price with which citizens buy oil, gasoline and gas.

Inside Story has calculated in detail, according to the board's own scheme to discover how the Albanians were stolen.

On August 11, 2022, the dollar exchange rate was ALL 114.11. So, 1 ton of oil bought for 900 dollars is converted to 102,699 ALL.

If we add the premium value of 66 dollars, converted into lek, the total of 1 ton of oil amounts to 110,223 lek. Always based on the official scheme that we discovered, 1 liter of diesel has a purchase cost for companies of 93.7 ALL. If we add the entire tax regime that is calculated in the scheme of 108 lek, which includes scanning and marking, the final cost of a liter of oil is 201 lek. If we add the value of the anticipated profit of 15 ALL in total for the majority and the minority, the final price that should come out is 216 ALL!

So, the oil board has stolen from us a full 5 lek per liter, favoring businesses. All the calculation we did step by step is based on the official scheme of the board. Now, either the board members must be held accountable, or the state must act for this outright theft that we proved!

What impresses is the fact that the board deepened the theft even through the decision of August 17, increasing the price by another 6 lek, despite the fact that we had a price reduction in the stock market.

From the analysis we made of the board's decisions, it is noticeable that they played with two standards. In the decision that we analyzed above, but also in other decisions, it results that the official announcement does not disclose the price on the stock exchange, the premium price, nor the reference exchange rate. The theft calculation reveals that the price is kept secret so as not to reveal abuses.

It happened differently in some of the recent decisions when the board decided to lower the prices and all the data is listed there.
