Some Albanian-Palestinian citizens are suspected to have been trapped in the Gaza Strip, unable to leave, as the Israeli army has given them until 20:00 this evening.
The Foreign Ministry of Albania says that it was made aware of the interviews they gave to the media, and is now in constant communication with them and the authorities in Egypt and Israel.
MEPJ announcement:
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, through the Embassies of the Republic of Albania in Israel and Egypt, continues its efforts to help citizens in difficulty, due to the war in Israel and the Gaza Strip.
After several interviews in the media, the MEPJ, through the embassy in Egypt, has been put in contact with some citizens (Albanian citizens) who want to leave the Gaza Strip.
For 48 hours, the MEPJ has been in hour-by-hour contact with these citizens, who only two days ago officially declared that they live in the Gaza Strip. Earlier, the MEPJ did not have any declaration of Albanian citizens, near its authorities in Egypt or Israel, living in the Gaza Strip.
From the first contact with these citizens, MEPJ is in constant communication with its representations in Egypt and Israel and international organizations to facilitate the exit of citizens from the Gaza Strip.
