Emiljani Nina, the driver of the vehicle that caused the terrible accident, a month ago at the dam of the Artificial Lake in Tirana, has given his first testimony to the police regarding the incident.

Nina, who is the cousin of the much-wanted Ervis Martinaj, stated that he had drunk nitrogen, and that he was traveling with a BMW X6 type vehicle at a speed of 180 km/h.

"I had drunk nitrogen and was moving at 180 km per hour", he said.

The 28-year-old was stopped by the Tirana traffic police and police station no. 4 near the apartment, during the arrest he did not resist, the police also carried out a house search. Nina is charged with 7 criminal offences, "Driving a vehicle in an irregular manner", "Leaving the scene of the accident", "Violation of traffic rules", "Theft of property", "Criminal failure", "Actions that prevent the investigation of of the truth", "Producing, keeping, buying or selling cold weapons without a permit in the residence".

Also, Nina, apart from the accident at the lake dam, was wanted after being sentenced to 8 months in prison for domestic violence.
