The personal belongings of a 56-year-old woman who was declared missing two days ago were found along the Vjosa River.

The items were found by the river near the village of Mifol.

It is suspected that the woman who was suffering from a mental health problem drowned in the river.

Police arrived at the scene while RENEA divers were waiting to start the search in the water.

"On 22.06.2022, around 12:10, from the border services of DRKM Vlora, by the river Vjosa, in the village Mifol, were found some personal belongings, which are suspected to belong to the citizen LK, 56 years old, with health problems mental, which, according to the family report, left the apartment on 20.06.2022.

Upon receiving the notification, the Police services immediately went to the scene and the arrival of RENEA divers is expected, to enable searches in the Vjosa River.

"The investigative group is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the event", announced the police.
