A young Albanian man has been sentenced to 5 years in prison after he was caught transporting cocaine and heroin with a value of up to 200,000 pounds.

It is about Edlir Gjoka , the 21-year-old who arrived in Great Britain illegally in January 2023 and only 3 months later fell prey to criminals who involved him in the production and trafficking of drugs.

He was caught driving a rented vehicle and had 635 pounds on him.

During the search, 2 packages of cocaine weighing more than 1 kg were found. 1 kg of cocaine was also found.

The Albanian's lawyer said that the young man owed money to the people who had helped him enter the country illegally, stressing that the 21-year-old had not come to Great Britain with the intention of being involved in the drug trafficking scheme.
