The Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Environment   confirms that the company of American entrepreneur Jared Kushner , the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, has submitted an application to the Investment Development Agency for projects. 

In an article in Bloomberg News, Jared Kushner says that in Zvrnec his company Affinity Partners will build ten thousand tourist accommodation units, while in Sazan luxury eco-resort accommodation units of the Aman brand will be built.

The Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Environment confirmed that Mr. Kushner's company has submitted an application to the Investment Development Agency: " For a tourist project on the island of Sazan, like many applications that are made by foreign investors, and the good news is that now tourism has entered the sectors of interest of foreign investors, not only Albanians. But according to the law, the project must go through several stages of review, before decisions are made, but anyway, to date, such a project has not yet arrived at the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.

In its explanation, for the Voice of America, the Ministry states that " there have been interests and requests for tourism development on the island of Sazan before, which undoubtedly coincides in principle with our ambition to turn the island into a jewel in the crown of Mediterranean tourism , but we have rejected them, because we have not considered the development objectives of the interested parties in accordance with the vision of a tourism friendly to the environment and nature, a necessary balance for the tourism Albania of the 2030 vision".

In the case of Zvërnec, the ministry said that it is not aware of such a project, adding that "every proposal and effort to invest in Albania is welcome. The Albanian government has not hidden its ambition to promote and facilitate quality investments in excellence tourism and 5-star hotels, with international standards.

Every serious investor who comes, moreover from strategic allied countries of Albania such as the USA, has the door open to contribute to the qualitative growth of tourism and high standards in this vital sector for the country's economy . Wow .
