Police have investigated the incident in Vau i Dejës, where it was suspected that a person had been injured.

What resulted is shocking, as the person in question had fled to an area with difficult terrain, where his hands and feet were frozen from the extreme cold.

It is suspected that he suffers from mental health problems.

Police announcement:

At around 11:20 today, the Vau i Dejës Police Station received a call from a citizen reporting that he had been injured in a tent in "Fushë e Liqenit," in the village of Shllak.

After initial investigations, it emerged that citizen FD (suspected of having mental health problems) had not suffered any injuries, but had gone through a critical situation due to low temperatures, experiencing frostbite of the limbs. He had sought help to cope with this condition.

Due to the difficult terrain on Mount Cukali, police were transporting FD on foot to the ambulance that had arrived near the scene. Currently, his life is out of danger and he is receiving the necessary medical assistance.
