Driton Sadikaj from Deçan and Valdrin Xhyliqi from Malisheva

A serious accident occurred in the early hours of this Friday morning on the Drenner highway in northern Italy, where unfortunately two young people from Kosovo lost their lives.

The victims have been identified as Driton Sadikaj from Deçan and Valdrin Xhyliqi from Malisheva, aged 19 and 20.

The two worked for a construction company and were traveling in a work van when they collided with a truck.

The collision was fatal as the van's cabin was completely crushed, leaving them trapped inside with no escape options.

Another person in one of the trucks involved was seriously injured in the accident and was rushed to the hospital.

The families of the deceased have confirmed the news through social media, expressing their pain and sorrow for the untimely loss of the boys.

Italian authorities are continuing investigations to uncover the full circumstances of the accident that shocked the Albanian community in Italy.
