The weekend at the beach seems to be turning into a nightmare for drivers as heavy traffic is created on the way home.

This Sunday there is heavy traffic from the area of ​​Radhima to Uji i Ftohtë in Vlora but also on the Durrës-Tirana highway. 

In addition to foreign tourists, locals also choose the coast at the weekend to 'escape' the high temperatures. The head of road traffic, Altin Qato spoke in front of the media, saying that Radhima-Uji i Ftohtë is a problematic axis for the flow of vehicles in every summer season.

In the field there is also an increase of Traffic Police and Order personnel who try to manage traffic in the city of Vlora so that there are no problems in road traffic.

"To increase maximum readiness, to create safer roads and to increase safety parameters and to have normal traffic flow.

The flow is increased and we are on this road axis because every summer season, it is overloaded because there are difficulties in coping with the flow of vehicles.

The Traffic Police has made a plan from the beginning of the summer season until the end, September 15, has increased the readiness of the forces, the goal is to maximize road safety but also to have controllable traffic to create access for all road users looser ", said Qato.

From the problematic axis of Vlora for the circulation of vehicles during the summer season, Qato has stopped in the measures for the tourist season as well as the increase of the effectives on the road. Qato also asked for the understanding of the citizens, while emphasizing that the administrative measures will be harsh for the violators.
