The Police Directorate in Fier has carried out an anti-drug operation. Director Lorenc Panganika announced in a press conference that two people were arrested as part of the action coded "Vacuum", while another was announced as the organizer of this criminal activity.

As part of this operation, 30 kilograms of cannabis and 500 grams of cocaine were seized. Drug trafficking would take place towards Greece.

"A check was carried out in the residence of the citizen Eduart Mehmetaj and in the vehicle suspected of transporting narcotics. It turned out that 30 kilograms of cannabis narcotics and 500 grams of cocaine narcotics were found on the floor, in the specially prepared space in this vehicle. The narcotics were divided into packages and pressed for the purpose of trafficking to the Greek state," the police announced.

After the checks in the apartment, they found 3 electronic scales, packaging tools, tools used for pressing narcotics, etc. For this reason, Panajot Shahaj and Osmen Mehmetaj, both residents of the village of Cakran, were arrested in the act for the production and sale of narcotics and the possession and transportation of chemical substances.

The work for the capture of Eduart Mehmetaj continues. The police announced that investigations are continuing to identify other collaborators in this criminal activity.

I am here today, together with the Prosecutor, to present the results of the anti-drug police operation coded Vakumi within which, as a result of intensive investigative and operational work, it became possible to strike a criminal group that provided significant amounts of cannabis sativa narcotics and hard drugs for the purpose of trafficking to the Greek state.

During this operation, 30 kilograms of narcotic cannabis sativa and half a kilogram of suspected narcotic cocaine were seized.

Shërbimet e strukturave hetimore dhe operacionale, të Drejtorisë Vendore dhe të Komisariatit të Policisë Fier, në zbatim të planit të posaçëm te masave, të hartuar nga Drejtoria e Përgjithshme e Policisë së Shtetit, me fokus parandalimin, konstatimin dhe goditjen e veprimtarive kriminale të shitjes dhe trafikimit të lëndëve narkotike, kanë siguruar informacione policore, për ketë grup kriminal qe zhvillon aktivitetin në këtë fushë.

Si rezultat i administrimit të këtyre informacioneve, Prokuroria prane Gjykates se Shkalles se Pare te Juridiksionit te Pergjithshem Fier, ka regjistruar procedimin penal nr. 1142/viti 2023.

Ne kuader te ketij procedimi nën drejtimin e kesaj Prokurorise, strukturat e policise ne baze te planit te posacem operacional Vakumi, kane parandaluar trafikimin e një sasie të konsiderueshme te lendeve narkotike dhe bënë të mundur goditjen e grupit kriminal, që që veprone kryesisht në fushën e trafikimit të narkotikëve.

Gjatë këtij operacioni, shërbimet e Policisë bazuar në informacionet e siguruara gjatë procedimit, kanë ushtruar kontroll në ambjentet e banesës së shtetasit E. M. dhe në automjetin e dyshuar që mund te behej trasporti i lëndës narkotike.

Nga kontrolli rezultoi se në dyshemenë (në hapësirën e përgatitur më parë në këtë automjet), u gjetën rreth 30 kilogramë lëndë narkotike cannabis sativa dhe gjysëm kilogramë lëndë narkotike kokainë. Lënda narkotike kanabis ishte e ndarë në pako të vogla, të presuara, me qëllim trafikimin drejt Greqisë.

Në vijim, u ushtruan kontrolle në brendësi të banesës së shtetasit E. M., ku u gjetën 3 peshore elektronike, një sasi e konsiderueshme ambalazhesh për paketim, doreza plastike, makineri presimi dhe mjete të tjera që përdoreshin për perpunimin dhe paketimin e lëndës narkotike.

Ne vijim te hetimeve në kuadër të operacionit policor antidrogë të koduar Vakumi, është bere shoqerimi dhe arrestimi ne flagrance i shtetasve P. Sh, 43 vjeç dhe O.M, 71 vjeç, te dy banues ne fshatin Cakran, bashkia Fier, te dyshuar per veprat penale “Prodhimi dhe Shitja e narkotikeve”, dhe “Mbajtja, prodhimi dhe transportimi I substancave kimike.

Në vijim është bere shpallja ne kerkim dhe vijon puna, për kapjen e shtetasit E. M. 41 vjec, si organizator I kësaj veprimtarie kriminale si dhe vijojnë hetimet për identifikimin dhe kapjen e shtetasve të tjerë bashkepunetore ne kete aktivitet kriminal.

Ky operacion thekson sërish vendosmërinë e DVP Fier, për të parandaluar dhe goditur veprimtaritë kriminale në fushat e armëmbajtjes pa leje, narkotikëve dhe krimeve kundër pronës dhe pasurisë.

In this respect, only during the last few weeks, the structures of the DVP Fier in cooperation and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office have finalized operations such as the mega-operation Mystery and 2 phases of the Signal operation, as a result of which 21.3 kg of explosives, 3 pistols, 1 shotgun and seized 8100 euros. These actions of the Police, which prevented a criminal event and revealed a theft, put 3 citizens in handcuffs, declared 2 citizens wanted and proceeded to release 2 others.

The State Police remains committed to guaranteeing order and public safety, as well as to fighting illegalities. In this context, he invites citizens to cooperate even more with the Police, for the fulfillment of common objectives.
