The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has reacted after the news of the tragic earthquake in Morocco. The head of the Albanian state says that he feels heartbroken by the consequences caused by the earthquake and expresses his condolences to the families affected by this tragedy.

"Heartbroken by the terrible earthquake that hit Morocco. We stand with the people of Morocco and send our sincere condolences to the families affected by this tragedy", writes Begaj.

We remind you that over 600 people have lost their lives so far from the 6.8 magnitude earthquake. Over 300 others were injured.

Authorities say that the number of victims and injured may increase because there are still people under the rubble. For this reason, the work of search and rescue teams continues to extract them.
