The Zvërnec incident also appears to be entering a worrying spiral of hatred from Greek nationalists.

A wave of harsh and disturbing reactions has appeared on Greek social networks after the publication of a video of the incident in Zvërnec, where a private security guard is seen exerting violence against a citizen.

In several comments and posts shared online on TikTok, Greek nationalists with extremist rhetoric have openly called (also in Albanian) for violence against the private security guard who abused an Albanian citizen who turned out to be a Greek minority. The extremists even offer money in exchange for information or the execution of the guard.

The social network TikTok has deleted these videos with serious content after complaints.

So far, there has been no reaction from Greek authorities regarding the reported posts, while it remains unclear whether any verification has been initiated for the authors of these calls.
