Police seized 2 kg of cannabis at the Kapshtica border crossing point.

The perpetrator, Gjovalin Zefi, tried to bribe the police officers with the amount of 600 euros, while the arrest was made in flagrante delicto.

The Border Police in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Section in DVP Korça prevented and cracked down on another case of narcotics trafficking and bribery.

He tried to traffic quantities of drugs to Greece, through the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point and offered bribes to police officers, in order to avoid control, a 56-year-old man fell into the hands of the police.

Seized 2 kg of suspected narcotic substance cannabis and 600 euros.

Services of the Border Police Station Kapshtica, following the work to increase control in order to prevent, identify and crack down on attempted trafficking in narcotics, as well as based on risk analysis and exchange of information with specialists on Narcotics Investigation and Illegal Traffickers, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, have selected for detailed control in the second line, the vehicle type "Mitsubishi" driven by the citizen Gj. Mr., 56 years old, resident in Shkodra.

As a result of the control exercised on the vehicle, 7 packages weighing 2 kilograms of suspected narcotic substance cannabis were found in his luggage and seized as material evidence. Citizen Gj. Mr., tried to bribe police officers by offering them 600 euros, in order to avoid control.

Further procedural and investigative actions were carried out by the specialists for Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Trafficking in DVP Korça, who made the arrest in flagrante delicto of this citizen for the criminal offenses "Narcotics Trafficking", remaining attempted and Active Corruption of Persons exercising public functions ”.

The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Korça Court of First Instance, for further action.
