'I will burn you, as I burned Menduhun', Marjeta Karaj was discovered

The Tirana court has set the security measure of "arrest in prison" for Gazmend Ngotë and Marjeta Karaj, accused of murdering 61-year-old Menduh Kurt-Deda in 2017, burning him alive in Kodër Shupal. In front of the court, the suspect Karaj denied the crime.

The suspect Ngota admitted the incident during his statements to the police. In court, Karaj's lawyer claimed that Ngota is a drug user and unreliable.

The discovery of the event came due to an interception of Marjeta Karaj, who told another person who owed her "burn you, as I burned Menduhun".

The event happened in 2017, when the 56-year-old woman together with her son, Besmir Karaj, 34 years old, and his friend Gazmir Ngota, 39 years old, forced Menduh Kurt-Deda into the car and after physically abusing him, took him to a forest area in Kodër-Shupal where they tied him with a rope and burned him alive./ A2
