The Special Court has approved SPAK's request to postpone for the umpteenth time the investigations against Arben Ahmetaj regarding the "Buka" file.
The GJKKO gave the investigative body another 3 months to complete the investigation regarding the accusation of abuse of office. Arben Ahmetaj is accused by SPAK of having favored the privatization of the company "Buka sha" by businessman Lirim Fezollari.
The investigation into Ahmetaj in this matter began after the Myderizi family filed a complaint, who claimed they lost the property, while SPAK raised suspicions that the privatization caused a damage of 7 billion lek to the state and the legitimate owners.
Meanwhile, Arben Ahmetaj is wanted by Albanian justice for the incinerator file, accused of the criminal offenses of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets, after the court ordered him to be imprisoned.
Also on this issue, last month SPAK postponed the investigations for the third time until June 23. A property investigation is also being conducted against Ahmetaj, within the framework of which two villas, apartments and bank accounts have been seized.
