New details have come to light from the investigation into online pyramid schemes. Ereledio Shebeku, 35, was also arrested yesterday. According to the police, he is suspected of being the main organizer for the Divjaka area in connection with the organization of these schemes, while his partner remains wanted.

Meanwhile, police sources indicate that the main bases of pyramid schemes are not only in Divjaka, but that the Cybercrime Directorate is also investigating larger groups of online pyramid schemes, mainly in Tirana, but also in Lezha.

These groups have deceived thousands of citizens, and even police officers themselves have fallen prey to the fraud.

Reliable sources told A2CNN television that hundreds of basic-role police officers (inspectors) in Tirana but also in Lezha have fallen prey to online pyramid scheme fraud by investing money.
