The show "Piranjat" has made an investigation based on a denunciation accompanied by facts and evidence of abuse of office of the mayor of Vau i Dejes.

In the local elections of 2019 in the municipality of Vau i Dejës, a political rotation took place after almost 2 decades. Mark Babani, a successful businessman from this area, was elected mayor.

A few months after taking office, the new mayor decides to design projects for kindergartens, schools and infrastructure.

Thus, on March 11, 2020, he orders the use of municipal funds worth over 8 million ALL without VAT to conduct a tender for project design. On May 26, 2020 the municipality of Vau i Dejës as a contracting authority enters into a contract with "Arabel Studio" and HMK Consulting and Transport Highway Consulting shpk.

The winning company had to submit the projects within 2 months from the date of its signing.

The "magicians" of the projects managed to submit within 2 days the voluminous files ordered by the municipality of Vau Dejës. And not 1 and 2, but full of 31 projects.

Everything done with such great urgency, 33 projects in 3 days. But how did they achieve this?

Asked by "Piranjat" the mayor answered briefly: It is not true.

The mayor denies this fact, the same goes for the project design office. But the documents that "Piranjat" has give another version of the story.
