The next hearing on the sensational sterilization case has been postponed by the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, due to the absence of some of the defendants' legal counsel.

In the session held today, only the defense of the defendant Marsela Serjani was present, while the defense for three other defendants was absent: Petrit Mersini, Saimir Kadiu and Naile Abazi.

Due to this situation, the trial panel decided to postpone the trial and set June 25th for the next session, where the prosecution's plea for the eight defendants is expected to be read.

This criminal trial is being conducted separately from that of former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj. Unlike the other eight defendants who have requested a summary trial, Beqaj has chosen to face a regular trial.
