The repentant justice seeker, Artan Tafani , recounted another event from 2022, at Bujar Tuku 's house .

He said he had told Laert Haxhiu that they suspected he had been holding Aldo Bare's nephew , Xhulio Shkurti .

Tafani : Every time we got cars, they were named after our girlfriends. One of the next cars was owned by Laerti's girlfriend, who, as far as I remember, was from Gjirokastra. We needed a car, we saw a parked car, there was a couple inside, we knocked and said we are the police, you parked badly. That chick got scared, we slapped the guy. We got out of the car, took him and left. Laerti was waiting for us on the old road and we turned back, Laerti in front, with the Audi behind us.
