September began with an escalation of civic protests, as protesters blocked the entrances to the Prime Minister's Office, while State Police forces were immediately deployed.

Protesters have continued their calls against Prime Minister Edi Rama, demanding his resignation and chanting: "Arrest Rama!", "Resign!" and "The end has come!"

The situation has been accompanied by tensions between protesters and police forces, with the latter calling on them to disperse and clear the road.

This is the 94th consecutive day of anti-government protests, in an action that has been ongoing for more than three months.

The protesters' main demand is the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Among their demands are also a change in the political class and the creation of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate.

Organizers have warned of an escalation of protests during September and October and have called for broader citizen mobilization.
