Shemsi Prençi: The boat driven by Arjan Tase was used for illegal
Shemsi Prenci

The former director of Civil Emergencies, Shemsi Prençi, says that the boat that crashed to death on the 7-year-old girl on the beach of Potami in Himare two days ago, which was driven by former officer Arjan Tase, is not a tourism vehicle, but a vehicle used for activities illegal.

Prençi says that this type of boat with two powerful engines cannot be driven by ordinary citizens, but by persons with state protection.

"What I regrettably found in the public pronouncements is that the motor vehicle that took the life of the 7-year-old is not a tourism vehicle, it is not a vehicle for tourist guides, but it is a vehicle for quick operations. The vehicle with two powerful engines, are tools for fast operations, it means for illegal activities. State institutions do not have to hide behind their fingers. Either the Ministry of the Interior or the General Directorate of Police. It is used by those who have state protection, who support criminal groups", said Prençi in "Euronews Albania".

The Prosecutor's Office of Vlora has dismissed the entire investigation by the Police Supervision Agency for Arjan Tasen, for which he brought the charge of manslaughter.

The prosecution of the coastal city has sent the file to the court and charged Tasen with intentional homicide.

According to the investigation so far, Tase performed dangerous maneuvers with the dinghy resulting in the impact of the engine propellers on the 7-year-old girl, who died immediately.

In his testimony, he clarified that the dinghy had taken on gas involuntarily, which caused him to lose control.
