Ajola Xoxa has appealed to the High Court for the seizure of two properties by the GJKKO.

The Special Prosecution announced a week ago that it placed under preventive seizure another asset suspected of being used by Mayor Erion Veliaj and his wife, Ajola Xoxa.

It is about an apartment in the Selita area, which, according to SPAK, is registered in the name of a company.

With the seizure of this apartment, the prosecution says it has proven another case of concealing assets, charged against Xoxa, and has added this charge to the mayor as well.

The investigation lasting several months led to the arrest of Mayor Erion Veliaj for the crime of passive corruption and concealment of income.

His wife, Ajola Xoxa, as well as several businessmen, were also indicted.

Ajola Xoxa is under the security measure of 'compulsory appearance', while Erion Veliaj has been in prison for months.
