Fatos Berisha, head of PriFest and well-known director, shared a story from his last visit to Tirana. Traveling in a taxi, Berisha says that he lost his wallet with his documents.
However, the taxi driver, Halil Hafuzi from Kukësi, found the wallet and after identifying it, made a great effort to return it to the owner.
The director comments on the unexpected and admirable way the taxi driver took it upon himself to find the contact on the Internet and deliver the wallet to that address.
"Yesterday in Tirana. I took a taxi to TullaCulture and with the taxi driver (from Kukës) we had a pleasant conversation about Kosovo, Kukës, London, prices and the like. I went down to Tulla, and there I understood what and where Tulla was. But, I didn't realize that my wallet (with all the cards and ID) had fallen in that taxi.
Meanwhile, the taxi driver had found the wallet, knew whose it was from my ID, and took the trouble to research the Internet to find any Tulla Center contacts. He finds it and writes to them, leaving his contact. And at the very end, he brings my wallet back to where he left it. His name is Halil Hafuzi. There are still good people. An honest citizen of Tirana who, by doing a good deed, also honors the city ", writes the well-known director from Kosovo, Fatos Berisha.
Erion Veliaj, the mayor of Tirana, has reposted this message, evaluating it as a simple example of hospitality and security in this city.
"Tirana is the safest city in the region, the merit of ordinary people who understand that hospitable Tirana is the formula of our success".
