The situation of singer Parashqevi Simaku continues to be at the center of public opinion.

Regarding this, Euronews has contacted the Albanian ambassador to the US, Ervin Bushati, who reacted to the singer's situation.

He said that he is working to carefully handle this situation and that everything must be resolved in the US because, according to him, Parashqevi Simaku is an American citizen and the media coverage and publication of the issue has psychologically aggravated the singer, causing her great harm.

"I am deeply affected by the situation and feel a special responsibility to handle it with care. I will do everything in my power both on an institutional and personal level. I have been in constant contact with Ilirjan in New York, since the beginning of the situation. The publicity and media coverage have psychologically burdened the patient, causing her great harm. Parashqevia is an American citizen with full rights. Any solution must come from here, respecting the laws, civil procedures, the Health Commission and away from the public spotlight. I only hope that Parashqevia accepts our help," he said.
