Rama gathers the leaders of the second level banks: The counters are like milk

Prime Minister Edi Rama met today with the leaders of commercial banks in the country, asking them for improvements in terms of online banking services.

Rama said that Albania is ranked first in the region in terms of online services in the EBRD report, while it is "where the cries are" in terms of these services that banks offer to their customers.

Rama asked the leaders of the banks to increase the online services for the citizens in order to avoid the queues at the doors of the bank branches. The prime minister compared these queues at bank counters to dairy queues during the communist era.

"We see the queues in the morning with people being guided by a guard outside. These are not everyday events of the moment we live. "Albania can not be in such a high place in the overall ranking, leaving behind developed countries in online services and have a situation like this in online banking services" , said Rama, asking the leaders of banks to expand online services and facilitate work for citizens.

" Every month you go to pay VAT, social security and health, it is a ritual that I do not believe you like to have at the bank door, while it is a waste of nerves and time. We are where the mourning is called in the online banking services. Citizens at the doors of banks as if in a milk queue. No need for a citizen who has a credit or debit card and go to the bank door to pay for a public service. Let him do it through e-Albania ", said the prime minister, adding: I know that the banks do not know either mother or father in exchange for profit, but not so far.
