Prime Minister Edi Rama has described it as a spectacular failure of the CEC, related to the non-functioning of the electronic identification device.

"The elections did not have anything special in any aspect, except for the spectacular failure of the CEC to start voting on time in 500 centers, people were in line, but did not vote. This was a serious, shocking thing, due to the fact that electronic devices have guaranteed a much greater transparency. Unforgivable and inexcusable mistake, we will not leave it at that, especially when we saw the terrible scenes that were thrown like empty crates. Millions of euros from the taxes of Albanians", said Rama.

He added that he expected that the opposition would contest the result.

"As for the opposition's accusations, I have foreseen it several times in my meetings, the only thing I did not foresee was the speed in what has been their eternal position, the denial of reality", said Rama.
