Former Navy Lieutenant Commander Artur Meçollari, from the podium of today's protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, denounced Prime Minister Edi Rama for concessionary affairs, which have become a violation not only of Albania's security, but also of NATO's.

He listed, according to him, some of the scandals of the prime minister's strategic investments, from the Port of Durres and Porto Romano, to Zvërnec and the Pashaliman military base, which according to him "is being given to oligarchs and internationally wanted people."

"This protest is a historic moment, we are changing the way we govern, we are seeking a legal and equal state for all. Zvërnec was the last straw, but Rama wants to divert it by saying that there is no project. Rama has damaged all of Albania. I remind you of some projects, the Kukes airport does not take off or land, and the concessionaire takes the money for the missing passengers. Porto Romano, remember what the prime minister said, will become a NATO base. It was never done and will never be done, because it is without a feasibility study. A place that cannot be built as a commercial port," said Meçollari.

He further listed other issues, as well as national security.

"The Port of Durrës is a state crime, the only commercial port in the country that maintains trade and regional connections, which favors the Albanian strategic position, but Rama will turn it into a tourist port but he cannot turn it back. Because the enemies he has not declared are NATO, the EU and the USA, both for the Port of Durrës and for Porto Romano. We can mention below, Palasë and Dhërmi, the environment and capacities have been damaged. We can mention Limion, which was designed from a naval base into a port for the oligarchs, and likewise Zvërnec, Pashalimani, where 80 hectares have been taken from the base", said the former head of the fleet.

Meçollari accused that "we are dealing with a prime minister who has plundered national assets and who must resign for the damage caused."

According to him, Rama knows his end, but together they should protest without stopping to remove him.

"We are dealing with a prime minister who not only steals national wealth but is also a national violation, but also of the alliance and national security of Albania. Today Porto Romano is not a NATO port. The tender has failed and will fail again. Why? Because Rama and his people are not corrupt, but they are connected to oligarchs and internationally wanted, they are wanted. In Pashaliman there is an Italian who is internationally wanted. Edi Rama knows his end, Edi Rama did not leave on his own. We must stay until the end, until he leaves. For the damage caused, only the resignation of Edi Rama is required", he concluded.
