The Minister of Education Evis Kushi, after the end of the Government meeting, stopped at the decision to reorganize the Academy of Albanological Studies.

During her speech, Kushi said that during the government meeting they approved the decision to merge the Academy of Albanological Studies with the Academy of Sciences. According to Kushi, this decision came after a series of problems and legal violations by ASA were found. For 8 years, this academy had not registered any students and did not have any kind of accreditation to function as a higher education institution.

Kushi said that the Ministry of Education approved and requested that this institution be reorganized to comply with the legal criteria, but throughout all these years the Academy of Albanian Studies failed to reorganize itself to comply with the law.

As for the doctoral students, the minister said that they will take care to transfer them to the institutions that provide doctoral programs.

"We have adopted a decision of ICLI, there have been many debates and even speculations over the last few days. It is about the reorganization of ASA from the academy, since it cannot be an academy because it does not meet the criteria to be an institution of higher education, in autonomous units or autonomous institutes near the Sheknca Academy. With the aim of raising Albanian albanology to a new level for the importance it has in terms of values ​​and our national identity. The Academy of Albanian studies was created in 2007 and was the separation of the institutes that until that time had been gathering together and creating the center that then, with the approval of the higher education authority, asked this center to turn into an institution of higher education. Akademia është e paakredituar si nga ana institucionale po ashtu dhe nga programet e studimit, nuk është akredituar asnjëherë. Mos akreditimi e bën të pamundur që të jetë instiucion i arsimit të lartë dhe të lëshojë diploma. Ka 8 vite që nuk regjistron asnjë student, 8 vite asnjë regjistrim në asnjë program studimi dhe kjo i bën pasive të gjitha programet.  Qendra e inckopedisëë është në shkelje të ligjit, nuk ka të miratuar rregulloret dhe për të kaluar te pjesa e adminsitrimti financiar ka një sërë problematikash. Nuk kanë aplikuar për regjistra, nuk kanë audit të brendshëm. Ne kemi një vendim të raportit të grupit të punës që ka muaj të tërë që po punon ku shkeljet dhe parregullsitë janë të mëdha dhe të shumta.
