Government abolishes Transparency Board

The government has decided to abolish the Fuel Transparency Board.

The news was announced by the Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, after a meeting of ministers.

The Transparency Board was established by the government on March 23, 2026, following the price hikes following the war in the Middle East.

"Another very important decision is related to the end of the special situation in the hydrocarbons market. Today we will terminate the Transparency Board that has been in operation for several months. The price has been decreasing for two weeks, it has fallen on the stock exchange," said Ibrahimaj.
