" I threw the phone down the well ," declared 23-year-old Marc Samson, who stabbed 22-year-old Albanian Ilaria Sula to death and then placed her body in a suitcase, which was found in a wooded area in Poli.
The suitcase was locked with the Albanian woman's lifeless body inside and was found at the bottom of a cliff.
Police were sent there by the Filipino ex-boyfriend, Marc Samson, an architecture student and McDonald's employee, who was arrested for murder and concealing a corpse.
The victim's phone records led police to the 23-year-old, who in the days of her disappearance allegedly used the young woman's cell phone to post on Ilaria's social media. He was then the one who sent police to the place where he dumped his ex-girlfriend's body.
Meanwhile, the victim's brother also spoke, stating that his sister was in a relationship with the young man but they had broken up.
"I saw my sister for the last time on Sunday, March 23rd, when she came to Terni. She was calm and didn't tell me about any problems. That was the last time I'm sure I spoke to my sister. I'm not sure if she wrote the messages I received after that day ," said Leoni, Ilaria Sula's 20-year-old brother.
While he said: " I know him, they were together for about 1 year, but they broke up. We wonder why he did this. Only he can know."
