A 22-year-old man from Pogradec, declared an international wanted man, was arrested by the Greek police in Athens.

We are talking about the citizen Firdeus Berberi and the police authorities report that he was staying illegally in Ioannina with the other most wanted policeman, Laert Haxhiu.

Firdeus Berbei is accused of intentionally seriously injuring Joan Muçllari. He, together with his friend Greis Maxhari, shot Muçllari with a knife in the head and with a pistol in the leg, who was seriously injured.

The incident between the young people started years ago when Firdeus Berberi's father, Ilir Berberi known as "Lili i Rrushka" was accused of firing a Kalashnikov at the "Voloreka" hotel owned by Joani's father, Jetmir Muçllari , at the peak of the tourist season, but fortunately there were no injuries.

Gjatë operacionit ndërkombëtar të koduar “Eksponenti”, të finalizuar falë informacioneve të siguruara nga Policia e Shtetit dhe shkëmbimit të tyre në kohë reale, ndërmjet Interpol Tiranës dhe Interpol Athinës, u lokalizua në Janinë, u kap dhe u arrestua me qëllim ekstradimin, i shumëkërkuari Laert Haxhiu, bashkë me të cilin janë shoqëruar në Policinë e Janinës, edhe 2 shtetas të tjerë shqiptarë që shoqëronin shtetasin e shumëkërkuar.

Nga verifikimet e kryera ndërmjet Policisë greke dhe Policisë shqiptare, ka rezultuar se njëri prej këtyre shtetasve, konkretisht shtetasi F. B., 22 vjeç, lindur në Pogradec, ishte i shpallur në kërkim kombëtar nga Drejtoria Vendore e Policisë Korçë.
