The neighbors of Gert Shehu gave an interview to the media where they told about the behavior of the 31-year-old in everyday life. One of his peers stated that Shehu consumed various narcotics.

While adding that Berisha's aggressor was also a practitioner of the Islamic faith, revealing that he always greeted them with religious expressions.

Another of the neighbors said that the young man's action was the result of a psychological burden that could have happened to him from the harsh language among politicians and the situation in the country.

It's like fan work. I saw that boy once, he was sick. My granddaughter told me that she is from Tepelena, she has a very good family. He acted wrongly," said another of the neighbors.
