Rozalinda Plaka , the young woman whose parents were killed in the tragedy that occurred in Vidishte, is expected to be questioned again by prosecutors in the case.
Sources close to the investigation indicate that her first testimony, given immediately after the hostage-taking ended, was incomplete due to her severe psychological condition.
The 25-year-old confessed that she was asleep at the time of the attack.
She was awakened by the sound of gunfire and, as soon as she left the room, she saw her father lying on the ground, while her ex-fiancé, Refit Nertil Buzi, threatened her with a gun, forcibly took her and put her in the vehicle.
He then fled towards the hilly area of Kurjan, where he held her hostage for about four hours.
Meanwhile, the Fier Prosecution Office continues investigations not only to fully uncover the serious incident, but also for another criminal proceeding that was filed against the 35-year-old for the criminal offense of fraud.
Prosecutor Kristi Jorgji, who personally participated in the negotiations with Buzi to convince him to surrender, is also the prosecutor who investigated the fraud case against him.
Buzi was active in the vegetable trade, promising farmers the export of products to European markets.
Some of them filed criminal charges, claiming they did not receive payment for the goods they had delivered.
At the time of the incident, Buzi was under "house arrest" security measure, accused of stalking his ex-fiancée, Rozalina Plaka.
Four years ago, while living in England, the 35-year-old had stated that he had been taken hostage by several compatriots, who had demanded a considerable sum of money for his release.
Sources close to the investigative group indicate that during the negotiations, prosecutor Jorgji did not tell Buzi that his ex-father-in-law had lost his life, but had communicated that he and his wife were injured in the hospital.
However, the 35-year-old followed developments via mobile phone.
At around 3:00 PM, Buzi was close to surrendering, but before making a decision, he addressed the negotiators with the words: “Wait, let me see the news.” After learning from the media that his ex-father-in-law had passed away, he again refused to surrender his weapon.
About an hour later, the 35-year-old shot himself, ending his life in front of the numerous police forces that had surrounded the area.
