The police have arrested 3 people from Shkodra, who were caught red-handed in an attempt to profit through fraud, the amount of 130,000 euros. JP, 40 years old, RP, 31 years old and Sh. K., 36 years old, all three residents of Shkodër.

The Investigative Directorate had provided information, thanks to information intelligence, that some citizens carried out the criminal activity of fraud, in several different businesses. These citizens presented themselves as important people in the state structures, in order to benefit from significant sums of money in euros. 

Based on this information, the Investigative Department in the State Police referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court, which registered the criminal proceedings for the criminal offense "Fraud", committed in collaboration.

As a result of the use of special investigation methods and based on the sufficient evidence provided, within the coded police operation "Signal", these citizens were arrested in the act, in an attempt to profit by fraud, in a business in Tirana, the amount of 130,000 euros.

During the checks carried out in the residences of the arrested citizens, another 12,600 euros, profited from the criminal activity of fraud, were found and seized as material evidence. In total, as part of this operation, 142,600 euros were seized as material evidence.

In relation to this case, a special investigative group has been set up by the Investigative Department of the State Police, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court, to deepen the investigations, with the aim of identifying and apprehending other citizens implicated in this criminal activity.
