The former official of the Police Supervision Agency, Kushtrim Selimi , has turned himself in to the Tirana Police, accused of imposing fines on senior police officials.

It is learned that Selimi appeared this Friday morning, accompanied by his lawyer, where he is expected to be interrogated by Cybercrime regarding the charges. 

A few weeks ago, the police attacked the portal managed by Kushtrim Selimi, his subordinate Regina Omeri and a journalist where derogatory articles were written about senior police officials.

His co-workers testified after the arrest that Selimi had grudges and quarrels with the people he wrote about on the portal, and it is suspected that he made the news to impose "fines" or to gain leadership positions.

A few days ago, leaders of the State Police made reports to the AMP about Kushtrimin Selim. Director General of Police Muhamet Rrumbullaku, Director of Criminal Police Neritan Nallbati and Director of Public Order and Security, Rebani Jaupi, filed criminal charges against Selim. The reports from Rrumbullaku, Nallbati and Jaupi against Selimi were made regarding the denigration and published news that Kushtrim Selimi together with his brother in SHISH made against the leaders of the State Police institutions.
