Police take drastic measures for new school year, warning for pedestrians
Road and Municipal Police

The Tirana Road Police Commission in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police has prepared a special plan of measures, in case of increased flow of movements, at the beginning of the school year 2023-2024 and therefore appeal to road users.

Some of the measures taken include not only drivers, but also pedestrians.

Road policing and municipal measures:

Pedestrians walk on the walkways dedicated to them, as well as respect the white lines and traffic lights.

Users of bicycles, electric motors and scooters should be equipped with protective helmets, as well as respecting horizontal and vertical signalling on the road.

Avoid using vehicles for close distances.

In case of accompanying children with vehicles, to kindergarten/school, children should be positioned in the rear seat of the vehicle and, if necessary, in sexhiolino.

The vehicle's location should not be near intersections or white lines.

Drivers in the center do not become an obstacle to the circulation of other vehicles, maximizing the time of stay, always on the right side of the road.

Drivers of vehicles for student transport should especially consider to be careful in the boarding/discounting of students, stopping vehicles in designated places, without becoming an obstacle to the movement of other means.

Likewise, after accompanying the students to school, take care until the last student (passenger in this vehicle) in the school premises.
