A first school year without colors/ Mother: I can't buy clothes and tools,

This school year, Irsa enters the 7th grade class, she was only able to buy 6 notebooks, a pencil, a pen and a ruler.

She has used a blouse and jeans because her mother has to spend money for her brother Serxhon, who is entering his second year of high school this year.

"One notebook for each subject. I have these. Two of these for the brother. I have had this purse for years. Mom took these notebooks as a start and a pillow. Because the prices have increased a lot, mom barely got them. This year, the brother enters his second year. We haven't bought the books. They are very expensive."

Albana's case is more difficult. Her daughter, who suffers from mental health problems with occasional neurological seizures, is in 7th grade this year. She says there is no way to buy her anything. At the beginning of this school year, she says that her daughter doesn't even have sneakers to wear.

"I have no chance! Where can I find them?! I don't have sneakers to take the girl to school. I don't have sneakers to take the girl to school. Bring me food. I can't, come on, look in the fridge. Bring me a bite to eat, an oyster, some clothes, anything."

The only help they have received from the state is only a bag with some school supplies from the traffic police, so their appeal is for help however modest.

With the increase in prices, on average, a parent needs an average of 10,000 lek in expenses for school materials for each child of school age./ Albanian
