New details from the murder of Laert Keka in Vlora, the 41-year-old was shot with a Kalashnikov while riding a motorcycle.

Initially, he was shot in front of the Vlora library by a vehicle with Italian license plates.

After being shot, Koka fell from the motorcycle and walked for about 100 meters, while the perpetrator followed him from behind and made sure to kill him. Then the 41-year-old was shot again in front of the Orthodox church.

The car suspected to have been used for crime was found with the Kalashnikov inside completely burned in the village of Kotë in Vlorë.

More than 28 cartridges were found at the scene, which means that the victim was fired with a Kalashnikov.

The victim with a significant criminal record

Laert Keka is a well-known name for the police of Vlora, he was in prison, after being convicted of complicity in a murder. The victim is said to have served more than 10 years in prison.

Years ago, around 2000-2002, he allegedly took a money changer hostage and executed him, while years later he was also accused of violent theft.

Nga kontrolli i zonës, në aksin rrugor “Kotë- Sevaster”, shërbimet e Policisë kanë konstatuar një automjet tip “Audi”, duke u djegur.

Checkpoints were immediately set up at the entrances/exits of the city of Vlora and on the "Vlora-Fier", "Vlora-Tepelen" and "Vlora-Himarë" axes.

Also, the Police services continue combing the area, with the aim of locating and catching the perpetrators.

The investigative group is at the scene and under the guidance of the prosecutor, is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to record any evidence that will serve the investigation, with the aim of identifying and apprehending the perpetrators.
