The police give details about yesterday's injury in Vora: Ergest Hoxha

The Tirana police have given new details regarding the incident that happened the day before in Vorë, where 2 people were injured.

From the preliminary investigations, the police say that the 34-year-old Ergest Hoxha approached the car where the two brothers Kidi Muzhaqi and Ermal Muzhaqi (24 and 27 years old) were and tried to kill the 24-year-old with a knife.

At this moment, his 27-year-old brother reacted and shot him with his service weapon, since he was an army officer, and wounded the 34-year-old Hoxha. 24-year-old Kidi Muzhaqi was also injured.

In the press release, the police say that the motives of this event are still unclear, while both the 27-year-old officer and the 34-year-old Hoxha were put in handcuffs.

" Following the preliminary information given about the event that happened at noon yesterday, in Vorë, we inform you that the specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes Against Life detained Ermal Muzhaq, 27 years old, and Ergest Hoxhë, 34 years old, both residents of Vorë. From the investigative actions carried out for this event, it is suspected that yesterday, around 12:20, in Vorë, Ergest Hoxha approached the vehicle with driver Ermal Muzhaqin and passengers Kidi Muzhaqin and BA, and for still unclear motives, attempted to to kill Kidi Muzhaq with a knife. At this moment, the driver of the vehicle, Ermal Muzhaqi (army officer), intervened and wounded Ergest Hoxha with his service weapon. Kidi Muzhaqi and Ergest Hoxha are in the hospital, under the care of doctors. The police seized the firearm, the pistol and the knife used in this incident, as well as the mobile devices of the citizens involved. At the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to determine the cause of the case ," the police said in a media release.
