A serious incident was recorded on the evening of October 31 in the "Agios Fanourios" area in Greece, where a young Albanian man, Kristian Mitsi , ended up in serious condition after a violent arrest by the police.
According to the testimony of a friend who was with him at the time of the incident, at around 8:30 PM, two police officers stopped Mitsi for lack of documents and treated him with extreme violence.
"They grabbed him by force, hit him, and mistreated him in front of my eyes," his friend recounts in a denunciation message sent to the JOQ editorial office.
Afterwards, the young man was taken to the "Agios Fanourios" police station, where according to the witness, the violence continued even inside the police premises.
A few hours later, Kristian Mitsi was transported by ambulance to the hospital, in very serious condition with a fractured jaw, broken teeth, and multiple wounds to the head and body.
Greek police claim that the young man "self-harmed", but witnesses and his family members categorically deny this version.
They are demanding the release of security camera footage, which authorities refuse to release without a court order.
"They told me everything was fine, but when I returned an hour later, I saw the ambulance taking him to the hospital. He told me: 'Brother, they beat me, they cut me into pieces, my ears are bleeding,'" says Kristian's friend.
His family and friends are demanding a full investigation and justice for what they consider a brutal act of police violence with discriminatory motives against a young Albanian man without documents.
