They were trafficking 30 kg of cocaine, a 32-year-old Albanian and an Italian

An Albanian has been arrested by Italian police after, in collaboration with another, it was discovered that he was trafficking over 30 kilograms of cocaine worth millions of euros.

It is learned that the Albanian and the Italian citizen, aged 32 and 50, were handcuffed in the Empoli area.

The two traffickers were caught near a construction site, where the police initially spotted the Italian, while the Albanian arrived after him in a car.

The two, after staying inside the building for some time, headed towards another car that was parked nearby.

Police officers stationed outside the building observed the two accomplices, while the Albanian was seen taking one of the drug packages out of his luggage. At that moment, given the circumstances, officers intervened and during the search, 28 drug packages were seized.

According to the police, the narcotics were placed in a secret compartment in the trunk, sophisticated and secured with magnets, with a partition under the main floor.

A precision electronic scale and various materials suspected of being used for packaging were also seized. The Florence prosecutor's office ordered their immediate arrest and further investigations to uncover the trafficking organization.
