A 48-year-old woman was hit a few minutes ago by a car at the exit of the city of Berat. Liljana Salillari, was crossing from one side of the road to the other to go to the bar where she was invited for a wedding, but was hit by a car at the place called "Ura e Hani".

The Citorn type vehicle, with AB 028 ESzka, was traveling from Berat in the direction of Dimal when it collided with the woman. The injured woman was transported to the Regional Hospital of Berat in serious condition and is under the care of doctors. The driver of the vehicle was accompanied to the police station, for the performance of procedural actions.

Traffic police officers and experts have arrived at the scene and are also conducting an investigation of the scene to find out the causes and dynamics of the accident. Preliminarily, it is thought that the driver of the vehicle, Enea Mehmetaj, who has been accompanied to the police, was speeding and did not see the woman crossing the road, due to the lack of lighting on this national axis.
