"Our hearts are trembling" - Neighbor of one of the children who lost

The neighbors of one of the two minors who lost their lives today in the tragic accident in neighborhood no. 15 of the city of Durrës have reacted in shock to the fatal collision that took the lives of the two children.

They said that when they arrived at the scene, they found one of the boys under the car.

"We weren't here at that moment, we arrived in 5 minutes. The boy was under the car. The people's screams, scandal! My heart still trembles. There has never been a Sunday like this here," the neighbor told Euronews Albania.

She also stated that the minor's parents are abroad, as his father suffers from cancer and was being treated in Italy.

"The mother will come, the father will come, how will they find him? We are shocked and we are like robots, we are no longer human."

"His father is seriously ill. The boy lived with his grandfather and grandmother," she said.

The neighbor of the two minors has called on the police to take action, as according to her, two innocent lives were lost.

"It's a disaster here. Two children's lives are lost before they've even grown up... we have nothing to say. We shouted loudly: 'get the child out'. We don't know how to comfort the parents," the neighbor added.
